Embracing a moment to start a movement
On August 28th, 2020, we joined the National Action Network to recommit to the dreams of Martin Luther King, Jr. This Commitment March was an opportunity for all people to call for federal action on policing and criminal justice reform.
People from around the nation stood together on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and from the safety of their homes to confront the racial injustices faced in our country. Together, we demanded that our government pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act so that we can stop the unwarranted arrests and killings of Black people in our country.
