Today, we mourn the loss of a giant—Congressman Charles Rangel. A decorated war veteran, founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus, and a powerful voice in the U.S. House for over four decades, he dedicated his life to public service and the pursuit of justice.
From Harlem to the halls of Congress, Rep. Rangel championed civil rights, economic equity, and education with unwavering commitment. His work helped dismantle systemic barriers and uplift communities too long denied equal opportunity.
We honor his legacy as a trailblazer who helped bend the arc of the moral universe ever closer to justice. My heart is with his loved ones and the many whose lives he touched.
